Episode 5: The Tragic Story of 3 Medici Girls
This weeks episode is about the lives about 3 Medici girls that unfortunately where met with a tragic end. The girls were the daughters, and niece, of Cosimo I de Medici, the Grand Duke of Florence. Although Leonora was a niece, she was raised along with the girls. They were like sisters, and she was like a daughter to Cosimo. We start the episode with the story of his eldest daughter, Isabella, followed by her cousin Leonora, with whom she had a very close relationship with. We finish it off with the youngest of the girls, who unfortunately didn’t make it past the age of 17.
