Isabella D’Este – First Lady of the Renaissance

Isabella D’Esta is known as the first lady of the renaissance. Known as a patron of the arts she helped lead the way for artist of all kinds, from painters, sculptures, poets, and musicians. From the most popular like Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, to the up and coming Italian artists. She was also a strong political figure who used her great education and negotiating skills to raise herself up in the world of politics and create a name for herself as regent.
